Coaching Background
Matt began his coaching career with DASC as an assistant in the Polar Bear Academy, working with some of the club’s youngest developing players. Since then, he has served as an assistant coach for multiple teams, including the Chaos and currently the Strikers and U6 Girls England. Matt brings enthusiasm, patience, and a strong developmental mindset to every training session, helping young athletes build confidence and foundational skills.

Playing Background
Soccer has been a major part of Matt’s life from a very young age. His early playing experience includes:

  • Olmstead Soccer Club (Middletown)

  • Coventry Soccer Club (Harrisburg) under Carl Wagner

  • Middletown Area School District – middle school and high school teams

His lifelong connection to the sport gives him a deep appreciation for the game and a strong understanding of player development from youth to competitive levels.

Coaching Philosophy / Personal Motto
“Dream big, work hard, never give up.”

Matt was introduced to soccer by his mother, who recognized that the sport was a perfect fit for a high-energy child. Her support fostered his passion for the game—something he now passes on to his own children. Coaching at DASC has allowed Matt to reconnect with the sport he has always loved and to help shape the next generation of players.

About Me
Outside of soccer, Matt enjoys gardening, caring for his Koi fish, spending time with his two dogs (Frank and Juniper), and enjoying quality time with his family. Both of his children now participate in DASC programs, making his involvement in the club meaningful both personally and as a coach.
