U10 Travel
Soccer was the first sport Coach Drew Himes ever played at age 5, and no other sport ever matched up. By age 10 was playing with Avalanche Football Club, founded by Larry Julius who became his mentor. Drew was able to play up with older teams which accelerated his soccer development.
From age 14 to 18, he played for Lower Dauphin County (LDC) United, where he was spotted for the Olympic Development Program (ODP). Drew played on the ODP team for 2 years and starred as a 4-year varsity player for Central Dauphin High School.
After high school, Drew decided to join the United States Coast Guard instead of playing soccer in college. However, he continues to enjoy playing in men’s leagues and looks forward to coaching his sons.
Drew has been coaching with DASC since 2019 and currently works as a Polar Bear Elite Academy coach.
